(Western Rat Snake serving punishment in Marietta GA .)

Call Now 678-792-8053

I have enjoyed snakes for a while now, though I have to admit before I started this venture into wildlife control I was scared stiff of any snake poisonous or non. I had nightmares about them when I was young. They were almost as terrifying as zombies.

Now however I love them and everything that they do. I have learned a lot about these fascinating creatures and continue to learn more every day!
Atlanta, GA Snake Removal by snake control and snake removal experts are the best avenue by far when you have a snake in the yard or even a snake in the house. Identifying a snake in Atlanta, GA can even be difficult sometimes by seasoned professionals. don’t handle a snake at all!!! unless you are sure it is non-poisonous and then wear the proper gloves or preferably use a snake tong.

If You don’t have a snake tong then you are probably not certified to determine the species of snake and again it would be safer and smarter to contact your local snake control agent and let him or her deal with it.

Atlanta, Snake Control and treatment typically consists of removing the food source that the snake are feeding on. typically this is rodent in nature, though most snake will eat insects, lizards and even other snakes. The Wildlife Professionals of Marietta GA will determine to cause of the issue and give you options to eliminate the issue.

Atlanta, GA Snake extermination is not always needed, even if you feel it is. Killing a snake won’t fix the underlying issue that you have. If a snake is in your home, it is not an accident the majority of the time so let your wildlife professional help you with your decisions.

Snakes are fascinating creatures. They stretch the very fabric of both fantasy and fear.

Most Snakes in  Atlanta, GA really don’t want the attention that they receive, in fact snakes would rather be behind the scenes all together. They serve a function that is ecologically beneficial. From insects to rodents , these snake we fear help keep our homes and business clear of these ever increasingly nasty pests.

One thing however is clear! When a snake finds it way into your house or business it is never a good thing, at least for the dwellers. We remove Snakes from homes and business.

When snakes are found co existing with humans it is typically a red flag for issues you may not even know you have.

Snakes in  Atlanta, GA are only after food , so if they are in your home or business there is a sound reason for it! Snakes will follow rodents such as mice, rats, squirrels and even bats into your home and will hunt and feast on them until the population is at a point that they will leave to allow for re population. Snakes are far from ignorant. They understand for the most part of how to allow a food stock for future use.

Eastern Rat snakes  found in Atlanta, GA are one of my favorite snakes just because they are so fascinating. For one thing they don’t need the sun to metabolize their foods. this means that they don’t have to be out in the sun to digest their meals. they hang out in crawl spaces and even attics for months at a time where other snakes would need to come and go.

So its no wonder that in Atlanta, GA I am called on most of my reptile calls to remove them.

Atlanta, Georgia Raccoon Removal 678-792-8053 Opossum Control

Raccoon removal in Marietta, GA

Raccoon or coons have been found in Atlanta, Georgia since the city was founded. These masked bandits have been causing trouble and nuisance since the beginning. Raccoon removal and raccoon trapping has been traditionally exercised by raccoon trappers and animal trappers. Though in recent years the wildlife removal companies have grabbed roots in this animal control and wild removal experience. Thus Wildlife Removal and Wildlife Control Companies have formed and have become our leading resource to raccoon removal and raccoon trapping in the metro Atlanta, Georgia suburbs.

The thought of a raccoon living in my attic and having baby raccoons up there and I none the ware is a daunting thought. If a raccoon family finds its way into my attic they will destroy the insulation that is needed to keep my house cool in the summer and warm in the winter months, not to mention the ring worm that is associated with these animals.

A raccoon in the woods can be a great thing! they perform great services to our ecosystem. But what happens when a raccoon gets in to your attic? or in in your chimney?

In my experience raccoon or coons have caused destruction on roof and chimney areas. Just one raccoon can tear shingles from roofs and tear into the attic space and do all of this with out the home owner even knowing about it until it becomes a serious issue.

One call I had the customer or home owner were enjoying a late evening watching TV and all of a sudden baby raccoons fell through the ceiling. The feces and urine had effectively worked through the ceiling drywall and the drywall gave way and the baby raccoons fell into the living room area and behind the couch while they were setting there watching TV. Understandably they were very upset and scared.

When we arrived the small raccoon babies were still huddled behind the couch in the living room. We caught them and removed them humanely. but the female mother raccoon was still in the attic. so with catch stick in hand( a catch stick is a stick with a cable that is fast retracted in order to catch animals) I ventured into the attic to attempt a capture of the mother raccoon.

The attic was a small area. Three foot high at the middle. there were no boards to navigate. so I had the step or crawl on the rafters (2 x 4 boards) trying not to fall through the insulated areas which would allow me to fall through the ceiling into the living areas as the baby raccoons did.

I navigated the rafters with flash light and catch stick in hand and at the very end of the attic near the opening in front of me was a very upset and agitated mom raccoon and she didn’t want any part of me. She was just there and she was standing her ground.

I honestly felt bad for her. she had just lost her family and she was confused as to why. I was careful and gentle and took my time. She deserved that. She was a trooper as far as raccoon removal is concerned. She was caught and placed in a trap with her baby raccoons and she seemed happy at that point.

After removal of the raccoons in the attic in the Atlanta, GA home we were able to inspect the property to ascertain as to how the raccoon family was able to enter the attic space, we were able to find a gaping hole in the roof. The raccoon tore through the roofing and the roof decking tearing a huge hole into the attic beside the chimney ares.

We were able to fix the roofing issues and replaced all of the insulation and the attic restoration was a complete success.

I still smile when I think of this job! It was interesting and amazing at the same time! These are the jobs I do that make me so happy to do what I do.

Raccoons are round, fuzzy creatures with bushy tails and a black mask of fur that covers their eye area. These animals may look like cute, cuddly bandits, but they can be quite fearsome when approached.聽
Size
Raccoons are about as big as small dogs. They grow to about 23 to 37 inches (60 to 95 centimeters) and weigh 4 to 23 lbs. (1.8 to 10.4 kilograms), according to聽National Geographic.
Habitat
Raccoons are found in North and Central America, Europe and Japan. They are very adaptable, so they live in a wide range of climates and habitats. They typically make homes, called dens, in trees or caves, though they will also make homes in barns, abandoned vehicles and other man-made locations, according to聽New Hampshire Public Television.
Though raccoons are more than happy to make human areas their homes, they can be vicious when approached by humans. Humans should be particuarlly cautious of approaching raccoons because they are common carriers of rabies, roundworms and leptospirosis, according to聽The Human Society. Most experts do not recommend having a raccoon as a pet.聽
Habits
Raccoons are not very social creatures. They are nocturnal and sleep during the day. During the winter, they tend to sleep more, but they do not hibernate in the traditional sense. They simply sleep while their bodies live off stored fat. They lose around 50 percent of their body weight during the winter, according to the University of Michigan’s聽Animal Diversity Web(ADW).聽
Though these animals look like the outlaws of the outdoors, raccoons are very clean creatures. They are known to wash their food in streams and even dig latrines in areas they frequent regularly.聽
Diet
As omnivores, raccoons eat vegetation and meat. The vegetation in their diet consists of cherries, apples, acorns, persimmons, berries, peaches, citrus fruits, plums, wild grapes, figs, watermelons, beech nuts, corn and walnuts. When it comes to meat, raccoons consume more invertebrates than vertebrates, according to the ADW. Some of the raccoon鈥檚 favorite animal treats are frogs, fish, crayfish, insects, rodents and bird eggs. When food is scarce, raccoons aren鈥檛 above scavenging human trash or eating roadkill.聽

Offspring
Baby raccoons are called kits or cubs and are usually born in the early summer. Females have one to seven offspring after a gestation period of 60 to 73 days. As a group, a mother and her baby raccoons are called a nursery.
For the first two months of their lives, babies live in their den and are weened at 7 to 16 weeks. At 12 weeks, they will start to roam away from their mothers for whole nights at a time, according to the聽Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. They become completely independent at 8 to 12 months of age. Raccoons live around 2 to 3 years in the wild.

We have all either heard of or seen Sciurus caroliniensis – but you will likely know this little animal better as a grey squirrel, or a gray squirrel. It simply depends on whether or not you like British spelling! However you spell it, the facts and fundamentals of the animal remain the same. The average length of the grey squirrel runs at approximately eighteen inches – and half of that is the tail, which typically runs about nine inches. An adult grey squirrel will generally weigh between one and one and a half pounds. As the name implies, these squirrels look grey, although up close you can see that their fur is actually rather salt and pepper, which of course mixes to look grey. A lot of them have wiry tan hairs dotted throughout their fur and their bellies are white. By and large, the grey squirrel has a rather academic bent, as you can frequently see them on college campuses! Their actual habitat, though, is very varied. They live in urban areas and in woodland areas. They have a penchant for oak trees, beech trees, and other trees which produce nuts. Naturally, nuts are a large part of their diet, along with berries and seeds. Grey squirrels sometimes dine on bird eggs as well, not to mention birds themselves when they are nestling, and on insects. In the spring time especially, they are sometimes fond of various kinds of vegetation. It is safe to say that grey squirrels enjoy a very well balanced diet. Unlike a lot of other squirrels, the grey squirrel does not hibernate during the winter months. They are also very active in the day time and enjoy scurrying about and foraging for food. On that note, they tend to be very shy little creatures. However, when they are fed, their inherent feelings of bashfulness tend to disappear. There are a lot of wild mammals in the world. Of all of them, squirrels are probably the most plentiful. In Canada, the United States, England, Ireland, and who knows how many other places, squirrels are as much a part of the population as people. We are especially familiar with them because, as mentioned above, they are very active during the day. They differ from a lot of other squirrels in many ways, aside of the fact that they do not hibernate. For instance, most other squirrels are almost solely vegetarians. However, as mentioned, grey squirrels do eat birds and their eggs on occasions, and they certainly enjoy insects. They are also larger than most squirrels, since many of their brethren tend to be about fifteen inches in length with seven and a half inch tails. Grey squirrels do not typically take advantage of being larger, however. In spite of the fact that they have been known to steal eggs, they are inherently friendly and curious little creatures. Their shyness extends to other members of the animal kingdom, unless they are feeling threatened in some way.
