Beaver can cause devastation in streams, rivers and in fields with a creek. A beaver will begin a new colony in a stream bed and begin to build a beaver dam to stop or impede water flow to allow a pond or lake to start a beaver family. Trapping a beaver can be difficult and dangerous.
